IPEC DIRECTOR

Bill Stimmel

Bill joined the Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex in 2023, bringing with him over 30 years of leadership, hospitality, and business experience to support IPEC’s mission. A graduate of Bowling Green State University with a B.A. in Geography and Urban Planning and a former entrepreneur himself, he fosters organizational partnerships to coalesce resources and support for clients, while striving to help them meet their goals.

PROGRAM MANAGER

Latrell Kaye

Latrell joined the team as Program Manager in 2024. He’s an enrolled member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation from Arizona. His native clans are Ma’ii Deeshgiizhinii (born for the coyote pass people), Bit’ahnii (folded arms people), Totsohnii (big water people), and TΊ’ảảshchί’ί (red bottom people). He has a B.A. in Sociology & Human Services with a Criminology option from Fort Lewis College. In addition, he also has an MSUS in Sustainability Solutions with a focus on Food Systems from Arizona State University. Latrell brings valuable experience in food safety, local procurement, and fostering partnerships with community knowledge holders through his work at the Agri-Cultura Cooperative Network.

Valerie Fernando

Gu’waad’zi
Valerie Fernando joined the IPEC team as Garden Educator in 2024. She comes from the Pueblo of Laguna, and enjoys gardening, cooking, experimenting with new foods, music, traveling, being outdoors and going to baseball games. Valerie also enjoys engaging with her community for different cultural and social events and spending time with her family and cheering on her grandchildren at their various sports and activities.

Amber Osei

Amber is a native New Mexican and Diné, born of the Áshįįhi and for the African American community. Her foundation, combined with her B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Mexico, drives her commitment to fostering community economic empowerment. She was privileged to help build IPEC’s foundational pathways for client success during launch. Her journey also includes enhancing client experiences and coordinating complex projects like the Rainwater Wellness spa launch at Indian Pueblo Marketing Inc., and gaining invaluable insights into community needs while supporting vital tribal records preservation through her work within the Office of Trust Records at the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians. Today, she leverages this blend of strategic and hands-on experience to connect meaningfully with IPEC entrepreneurs, understand your unique visions, and partner with you to navigate the path to success within IPEC’s thriving ecosystem.

Master Gardener

Keith Brandvold

Keith is a member of the Comanche Nation and a Master Gardener certified by the New Mexico State University’s Bernalillo County Extension. Keith was raised by the Rio Grande, tending to his grandparents’ crops in Socorro, where he still spends his free time. Starting as a volunteer, Keith was hired as the gardener for the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s Resilience Garden in September 2022.

Kayla Tenerio

Kayla is born and raised from Santo Domingo Pueblo and currently working as a Gardener in the Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex’s Resilience Garden. She is a proud Santa Fe Indian School and Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute alumni receiving her Associate of Arts Degree in Natural Resources. Throughout the years, she has learned to combine and practice Traditional and Western knowledge of agriculture by understanding the history, values and significance it holds that continues to serve the Pueblo peoples way of life.
